From September 27th to 29th, the 2nd World Textile Merchandising Conference was held in China textile City International Exhibition Center.
China's textile industry bears the responsibility of building a community with a shared future for mankind based on its scale advantage and industrial characteristics, and plays an increasingly important role in serving the overall national strategy. In the new era, China's textile industry has used international resources to expand from “products go global” and “capacity go global” to “capital go global” and “brands go global”. In 2019, Keqiao District wants to further highlight Keqiao's unique textile industry advantages in the professional market and printing and dyeing industry by hosting the second World Textile Merchandising Conference, an event in line with the goal of “green high-end & world-leading”, to strengthen relations with the world's major textile industry countries, strive to lead the "printing and dyeing + market" with "fashion + exhibition", fully open Keqiao's to the outside world, and create a new international textile capital.
On September 27th, the 2nd World Textile Merchandising Conference was held in Shaoxing, Keqiao. Organized by China Textile information Center, China General Chamber of Commerce Foreign Liaison Committee, Apparel Branch & Fabric Branch of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textile and Apparel, China Textile International Exchange Center, China Textile Engineering Society, Copyright Society of China, Patent Protection Association of China, China Dyeing and Printing Association, People’s Government of Shaoxing Municipal Keqiao District.
Representatives from the textile industry from 45 countries and regions witnessed the release of the World Textile Merchandising Declaration. With the theme of “Win-Win Cooperation and Responsible Development”, the conference focused on “Open Collaboration - Technology-Driven and Fashion Transformation”, gain insight into trends, adapt to the global trend, and link global industry think tanks to explore the common prosperity and sustainability of the industry. Develop and promote the “One Belt, One Road” international high-quality capacity cooperation, and jointly lead the industry toward a more open, inclusive, balanced, and win-win direction.
Experts from all around the world participated in the conference and gave speeches to contribute to the development of a deeper cooperation with China.
An important Italian delegation participated too, accompanied by the President of Fashion Dream Incubator Mr. Huang Yanting, between the guests Mr. Giuseppe Oliviero, President of Sme United, Mr. Guido Fusco President of Confederazione Nazionale Artigiani, Mr. Gabriele Altobelli President of the National Artists Association, Mr. Soler Matutes Jacinto, Director of Small and Medium Enterprises association in Spain, De Rogatis Salvatore, President of Small and Medium Enterprises Association of Naples, Mr. Iovino Massimo, Secretary of Small and Medium Enterprises Association of Naples, Miss Maria Spilabotte, CEO of FDI Italy and Miss Loredana Rea, Dean of the Fine Art Instiute of Frosinone.
In the afternoon, the delegation attended the event “China Textile City Cup”, and two young designers from Italy joined the competition, Miss Natascha Wanvestraut and Chiara Rossi. Showing on the catwalk the best of Italian young creativity, Miss Natascha won the Best Media Award and Chiara won the Silver Award. Mr. Altobelli, President of the National Artists Association of Italy presented them with awards.
On the following two days, Mr. Huang Yanting, President of FDI and the Italian delgation, was invited to participate in the 15th Asian Textile Conference and the “One Belt One Road” Textile Cooperation Forum.
As the forerunner of the fashion industry, Fashion Dream Incubator closely follows the national “One Belt One Road” initiative and explores the possibilities of the textile industry, making a positive contribution to Keqiao’s fashion industry.
